Following the introduction of the 10G home network (SKS8300-8X), I decided to purchase an 8-port 2.5Gbps Hatcho switch.
It features 8 multi-gigabit 2.5Gbps ports and one 10Gbps SFP+ port.

Web Console
In the initial setup, you can access it at http://192.168.10.12/.
The username and password are admin/admin.
It seems possible to configure settings such as VLAN, link aggregation, and port mirroring.
Firmware Update
I forgot to document it, but the firmware update process was quite nerve-wracking.
The cheap-looking WebUI made it unclear whether the update was progressing, but eventually, it showed completion. Be patient and wait without panicking.
Installation
The upper unit is the SKS8300-8X, and the lower unit is the SKS3200M-8GPY1XF.
Compared to the SKS8300-8X, the depth is almost the same, but the width is slightly larger.
I used the purchased DAC cable to connect the SKS3200M-8GPY1XF and SKS8300-8X.
It successfully linked up at 10Gbps without any issues.
SNMP Not Usable
This was my oversight before purchasing…
Since SNMP is not available, traffic graphs cannot be generated…
I was writing code to retrieve traffic data from the WebUI port information to graph it, but I realized halfway through that only packet counts are available, making it impossible to get bps data…
Summary
- Communication at 2.5Gbps is possible.
- Configuration via WebUI is possible.
- Compared to the SKS8300-8X, the WebUI is less user-friendly and appears cheap.
- CLI is not available, only WebUI.
- SNMP is not available.
- Cannot generate traffic graphs…
- Settings such as VLAN, link aggregation, and port mirroring are possible.
Considering the price of the SKS8300-8X, the SKS3200M-8GPY1XF might offer less value due to its weaker management features.
